Articulate Rise Course: Event Planning on Campus
As the lead instructional designer, I spearheaded the comprehensive redesign of a 30-minute training course on executing conferences and reservations at UNC Charlotte. The previous Canvas LMS-hosted version contained outdated imaging and information, necessitating a “refresh” in Articulate Rise. Collaborating closely with another instructional designer and over six subject matter experts, I managed the project from inception to launch.
We utilized the ADDIE framework, including a needs analysis to identify employee pain points, Google Docs for storyboarding, and Articulate Review for iterative prototype feedback, to develop an engaging and informative training. A key client requirement was continuous evaluation of learner understanding, which we addressed by integrating interactive Knowledge Checks throughout the course and a summative assessment. We also managed the SCORM package upload and configured settings within Cornerstone LMS to provide the client with essential reporting on learner progress and mastery.
