Interactive Image: Perfect Your Pool Stance

All Things Pool New England coaches pool players of all ages, both virtually and in-person. One of the most essential skills for beginner pool players is mastering stance. In face-to-face instruction, it’s easy to show how something as simple as incorrect foot placement can throw off a player’s alignment and aim. However, conveying this same concept to virtual learners can be much more difficult. As a result, this electronic product was designed specifically for virtual students participating in the youth pool league.

The interactive image was created using Articulate 360 Storyline and Canva for some of the graphics. It features a player demonstrating the correct stance, with strategically placed hotspots that invite learners to explore key details. By clicking on these hotspots, learners can engage with content that explores proper positioning, alignment, and essential terminology. Additionally, buttons are displayed on the right-hand side, allowing the learner to watch a demonstration, practice proper foot alignment, and assess their knowledge.

This project was completed as a requirement for a Visual Design of Instructional Products. You may follow this link to learn more about my rationale, design methodology, and adherence to visual design principles.
